Ecuador turn Poland over in a 2-0 victory that didn`t look likely in the first 10 minutes of the game as the Poles seemed positive in there play, but as the game went on and slowed to suit Ecuador, they began to grind the Polish team down.....A well deserved win by the victors

Germany Win in Munich

Amazing exciting start to the 2006 World Cup in Germany as the hosts win 4-2 against a weakish Costa Rico side it has to be said. But not all in the German camp looks good, as there defense needs some work. Against a better side I think Germany wouldn`t have faired so well. But all in all as an opening game it was good end to end stuff.

Friggs scores a cracker of a goal from way outside the box. The new fifa ball had something to do with it, and could result in a frenzy of goals throughout this football fest.

2006 World Cup Start

Its looks like Steven Gerard is going to start for the English Squad tomorrow 10th June. This guy is one to watch, its the same guy who lead Liverpool to victory in the 2005 European Cup Final and this years English FA Cup Final.

He`s on par with Wayne Rooney and may be the shinning star in this English World Cup Squad.

Germany 2006 is about to kick off

The waiting finally comes to an end as hosts Germany get the 18th FIFA World Cup finals under way against Costa Rica at 18:00 CET today before a capacity crowd in Munich. This match sees the start of what I think will be an historic world cup, as the top talent in the world bids for there place is the history books...

Will the Germans begin a momentous campaign to become the host winners, will the English finally put there talent together in a team effort, or will brazil just outclass everyone, with one of the worlds most powerful front lines. Can some nation appear from the oblivion to become a new power in world football. Let me know your predictions.

The other game today is also from Group A with Poland lining out against Ecuador at 21.00 CET. Poland have already beaten this Ecuador side 3-0 in there last friendly encounter.

My predictions for these games will see German & Polish wins!
